1.2 EASA 2004 winners

A book has been published to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the
Awards, entitled "Evaluation of e-learning: the European Academic
Software Awards". Reporting on the methodology developed for judging

6. Invitations to tender
6.1 Eduserv Research Grants 2004/2005
The call this year is for original and innovative research in
computer science concerned with the effective use of IT in education.
Eduserv is seeking to support technical projects in areas such as the
use and management of online digital resources, access management
systems, and e-learning.

6.2 JISC: e-theses for UK Higher Education
Proposals are invited to undertake a test-bed implementation project
to deliver an infrastructure to support the deposit, access and use
of research theses for the UK Higher Education (HE) sector. The
project will take place over 16-18 months. Funding of up to £200,000
including VAT is available for the project. The deadline for
proposals is 12 noon on Wednesday 3 November 2004.
It is envisaged that bidders will be notified of the outcome of the
evaluation process by the end of November 2004. The project should
commence in January 2005. Further details at
