I know Photoshop can do subtractions (I do it all the time for long-exposure
pictures from my digital camera -- the CCD is extremely noisy) but not sure
of divisions. If they don't have Photoshop then Photoshop Elements will do
(it costs "only" somewhere around $75). A free program they could look into
is IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) that might do subtractions, but I'm
not sure about that...
