Hi Scottish Webfolk
A little later than planned, the CSS system has now been applied to the Fife College as well as the IAT websites.
www.fife.ac.uk
www.iat.ac.uk
I've put a guide in the root domain website (for the merging Fife and Glenrothes College) where all the stylesheets are now kept:
http://www.fifeglen.ac.uk/style/
This should allow us to apply a basic set of default styles to any of our websites and online HTML publications, and override them with custom styles for each website's distinctive look and feel. This should make it straightforward to implement the 'family of brands' (a house style for the merged organizations of Glenrothes and Fife Colleges) requirements when they come in.
We plan to extend this to VLE, portal, and online documentation systems. We don't have alternate versions for different browsers, and we haven't yet done much work on alternate client devices such as WAP phones.
We'd welcome any comments, bug reports, and alternate ways of organizing style sheets that you might have found useful.
