English native speaker sought for editorial work on
Moscow Helsinki Group collection of first-hand reports
on 2003 elections in Chechnia.
Interested English native speakers with some expertise
in post-Soviet affairs and Russian language knowledge
are invited to apply for participation, as language
corrector and editor, in a book project with the
Moscow Helsinki Group and ibidem Publishers
(Stuttgart, Germany; www.ibidem-verlag.de). An English
language manuscript of approx. 250 pages consisting of
first-hand reports from elections in Chechnia in 2003
has to be corrected carefully and brought to the level
of printable English. See:

In addition, the manuscript has to be transformed into
a camera-ready master-copy for the printing.
Applicants should be English native speakers, and
advanced students or researchers in the social
sciences or humanities. Some Russian language
knowledge will be necessary too.
While ibidem Publishers cannot offer a salary, the
English language corrector will
- in accordance with a contract, receive part of the
editors' possible honorarium from regularly sold
copies of the book, and
- be included in the list of book editors on the
book's front-cover.
Please, be advised though that a honorarium will only
be paid in the case of, and according to, sales of the
book.
