Apologies for possibly making a query on something that may well have been covered before but cannot find anything in the archives.
I am interested in the impact on people who have impairments at times of disasters including such as heatwaves (eg as in France last year), floods, big storms such as are sweeping the Caribbean and Florida etc. For instance, a newspaper report I read today says Jamaicans were urged to go to storm shelters. But do such shelters accommodate people who may have quadriplegia for instance? In Jamaica? In Florida? An underlying aim of mine is to get some idea of impact on people with impairments within the context of a changing climate as well as that of terrorism.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks
Erik Leipoldt
