That's a possibility, assuming ERCs would be a useful storage format.
But what I was thinking of was a stream of ERCs expressing the items in a
search result set -- essentially using them to output or export records.

That would be terrific, Archie. Isearch is a great candidate, and you'd
probably be the most qualified person to do that.
