I don't think it is difficult to get fairly experienced (6/12 A/E, maybe a bit
of something else like orthopaedics) doctors to work as senior senior house
officers in non training posts for a while. They certainly help and could be
called trust grade. Sometimes they are a lot better than someone a good deal
older with lots of experience, post grad qualifications and certificates and a
lack of enthusiasm, they can be called staff grades. Staff grades can be
called senior. How senior does a senior senior house officer have to be before
they can be called senior?
