Employment Opportunities at RTI Health Solutions

Senior Health Economist - Manchester, UK

RTI Health Solutions is an independent research organisation providing
health care consulting and research expertise to optimise decision making
for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device products across the
development and marketing lifecycle.

To support our continued business expansion, we are currently looking to
recruit a senior project manager within the Health Economic division of our
European Operations group based in Manchester, UK.

Projects within the Health Economic division typically include; budget
impact modelling, cost-effectiveness analysis, burden-of-illness
estimation, preparation of economic dossiers in support of reimbursement
processes, development of instruments for patient-reported outcomes,
systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, trial design and formal
evidence summary.

For this position you will have already demonstrated excellent technical
and interpersonal skills, preferably in a consultancy-based environment,
and would be expected to:

· Independently manage and deliver high-quality scientific projects
to agreed timelines and budgets
· Proactively build a portfolio of active client-based work
· Scope and develop proposals based on evaluations of client
requirements
· Identify and assess opportunities for evaluating and demonstrating
product value
· Work closely with international key opinion leaders
· Actively support the strategic development of the group
· Contribute to the professional development of our research staff
· Continue to build your scientific profile through publication of
your work

Candidates should have proven consultancy/industry based experience in at
least one of the following areas:

1. Modelling in support of economic evaluations -

(including Markov, decision tree and discrete event modeling as well as the
application of probabilistic sensitivity analysis
techniques)

2. Design and application of health economic analyses -

(including retrospective data analyses, prospective analyses linked to
clinical trial data, utility assessment and quality of life studies,
patient reported outcome measurement, willingness to pay studies and stated-
preference research).

Ideally candidates will have:

·  A postgraduate qualification in Operational Research, Health Economics
or a related discipline.
·  A proven academic record through peer-reviewed publication and
conference presentation.
·  A minimum of 5-years project management experience related to the
pharmaceutical industry.
·  Involvement in supporting submissions to European reimbursement and
regulatory agencies, such as NICE and SMC, would also be a distinct
advantage.
