INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ELECTRONIC ART 404

Deadline: September 30th

ASTAS ROMAS is making a world-wide call to artists and theorists to take
part in the "International Festival of Electronic Art 404", in the following
areas:

01. NET-ART
02. WEBSITE
03. STATIC IMAGE
04. ANIMATION
05. VIDEO
06. ELECTRONIC MUSIC / SOUND
07. THEORY
08. INSTALLATION
09. PERFORMANCE

PARTICIPATION TERMS
1.GENERAL CONDITIONS

 There is no max number of works that can presented.

 There is no age limit for participants.

 The selected works will become part of Astas Romas collection and will be
published both at the Festival's Official Website www.404festival.com.ar
and at Astas Romas Website www.astasromas.com

 There is no language constrain for any work in any category, but if a work
is presented in a language other than Spanish, any text required for the
completion of the work or it understanding MUST BE ALSO be provided in
Spanish.

 The organisers are entitled to make use of works fragments for Festival
publicity in the media.

 CDs, prints and videotapes submitted for selection must be labelled with
category, title, artist name and contact information (address, telephone
number and e-mail).

 After the selection process, all participants will be notified which were
the selected works.

 Shipment, materials and framing expenses (if necessary) will be paid for by
the artists.

 Works submitted for selection will not be returned.

 The presentation of any work is done subject to the acceptance of these
terms.

2. RECEIPT OF WORKS

Works should be sent to or delivered personally at Museo de Bellas Artes
Juan B. Castagnino (Avda. Pellegrini 2202 / (2000) Rosario / Santa Fe /
Argentina) in a closed envelope addressed to "First International Festival
Of Electronic Art 404 / Astas Romas".

Works will be received from March 15th to September 30th, 2004.
Works sent pass that deadline will be received and filed for future
exhibitions by Astas Romas (with the authorisation of the artist).

3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION
In order to participate in the selection process for the First International
Festival Of Electronic Art you should print the submission entry form and
filling in the requested information.

Please send and envelope with the following:
a) A printed copy of the submission entry form with your signature.
b) A short resume of the author.
c) Attached work belonging to the following categories:

01. NET-ART: CD to browse OFF-LINE. Please attach software and plug-ins
required visualising the work correctly.
02. WEBSITE: CD to browse OFF-LINE in Explorer 5.0 or better. Please attach
software and plug-ins required to visualise the work correctly.
03. STATIC IMAGE (digital prints, photography, etc.): CD support - JPG files
(minimum resolution: 150 dpi). If selected for the Festival, printed works
must be mailed in order to be presented in the static exhibition. Printing,
shipping and framing costs are paid for by the artist. Please specify
dimensions and print support.
04. ANIMATION: CD support - .AVI or SFW files for Flash MX. Please attach
software and plug-ins required to visualise the work correctly.
05. VIDEO: VHS or CD support - .AVI files (minimum resolution 800 x 600).
06. ELECTRONIC MUSIC / SOUND: CD support - .WAV files.
07. THEORY: .DOC text files.
08. INSTALLATION: technical specs, dimensions, blueprints, drafts or
photographs.
09. PERFORMANCE: technical specs, dimensions, blueprints, drafts or
photographs and time length.
