Interesting. The performance gain in switching from gnu to ibm compilers
on OSX is significant.

Yes, it works from a standard cvs inhale. Darrell and Wes worked hard to get
it to running. I'm using it as my main platform now.
I'm not sure if the makedefs in the system is up to date. If not, I have one
that works.
I've been using the IBM FORTRAN compiler. There are a few things that Wes
has to fix up before I can try the C++ compiler. For AIPS, the IBM FORTRAN
compiler made the AIPSMark go from ~ 70 (GNU) to ~ 130 (IBM) - the highest
measured (That's for my 2.0GHz G5)
