Subject: lomb scargle algorithm licence
Hello
I was seeking for a free (GPL'ed) implementation of the Lomb-Scargle
periodogram and found yours at
http://www.starlink.rl.ac.uk/cgi-store/storeform2?PERIOD
Although you release it under GPL (which is perfect for me) you said
that it is based on Numerical Recipes code. As far as I can see it is
in fact very close to NR's code. I believed that they forbid to
redistribute they source code. How did you succeed in avoiding they
licence ?
I intend to distribute my own code under gpl and that's why I have to
find a free implementation or to remove this algo from my
application.
best regards,
