best known for his massive commentary on Aquinas' Summa, is he not?

Respondeo:
Alas no. We are confusing two persons here. St Cajetan (1480-1547) was
indeed the founder of the Theatine Order, but is not remembered as a
theologian.
Cajetan, Thomas de Vio (1469-1534) on the other hand, is not remembered
as a saint, but did indeed write a commentary on the Summa. He was
known as Cajetan from his birthplace, Gaeta. (Cajetan, on the other
hand, was born at Vicenza, no doubt to avoid confusion).
