Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD studentship
(home fees) to investigate "Distributed Strategies for
Adaptive Robotic Behaviours" with the Automated Scheduling,
Optimisation and Planning (ASAP) Research Group in the
School of Computer Science and Information Technology at
the University of Nottingham.
It is anticipated that the PhD will be based around
investigations of distributed decision strategies for
teams of multiple robots, such as robot football teams,
possibly utilising evolutionary and/or other adaptive
learning strategies. The work will be based on recently
procured robotic hardware and software.
Candidates with a good degree in Computer Science,
Operational Research, Mathematics or related disciplines,
with an interest in artificial intelligence, are invited
to apply by sending an electronic CV (PDF only) to
[log in to unmask] by 31st August 2004. Please include
the reference number JG-ROB-02 in the subject line.
