Emergencies seem to be in the centre of attention in our times. The UK
government just released a small brochure called "Prepared for Emergencies",
which can be found online (http://www.preparingforemergencies.gov.uk
<http://www.preparingforemergencies.gov.uk/> ). It does not contain any
information we don't know. But the most striking feature is that disabled
people are totally left out. They are not mentioned at all in the whole
brochure.
And that is quite disappointing because other international organisations
find disabled people of enough interest to have whole emergency publications
(e.g. American Red Cross:
http://www.redcross.org/services/disaster/beprepared/disability.pdf).
