Job Vacancy: Usability Analyst

large proportion of our team are psychologists dedicated to making
technology easier for people to use.
Nomensa build technology around people, providing accessibility,
usability, design and technology services. Put simply, we help make web
sites, online technologies and interactive television easy to use and
accessible by all.
Our clients include British Gas, The AA and BAE Systems. We also work
with leading universities, charity organisations and government
departments.

* Who we are looking for…
Nomensa are currently looking for a bright, confident, innovative team
member to join us in a usability analyst role. Ideally, you will have a
postgraduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction or a related subject,
and have excellent verbal communication skills and writing skills. You
must also be proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
Nomensa can offer a key position in our team, with great career
prospects and participation in cutting-edge research with prestigious
clients.
* Usability Analyst role
As a Nomensa usability analyst, you will be:
+ Researching and defining potential user groups and their requirements
+ Preparing and writing user testing documents
+ Facilitating user sessions
+ Observing user sessions and making notes for analysis
+ Conducting heuristic evaluations and clearly communicating the
findings to development teams
+ Writing papers for the Nomensa web site
+ Communicating and liaising with web development teams to ensure that
usability findings are implemented effectively
+ Conducting internal research projects to promote and develop Nomensa
usability practices
+ Developing presentations and delivering internal presentations about
research projects.
You will be assigned a Nomensa usability specialist as a mentor, and
will work as part of a team of highly experienced analysts. You will
also join our graduate training programme that will accelerate your
skill set development over the first six months.

conducted in the week commencing 6th September 2004. Please note that
