There are a number of interesting developments at the Camphill Schools in
Aberdeen which I would be happy to provide - if you are interested. For
example, the Schools in partnership with the University of Aberdeen offers
a BA in Curative Education. This is the first social pedagogy course to
gain national recognition in the UK. It was recognised by the Scottish
Social Services Council in March 2003 as an appropriate qualification for
anyone working in the care sector in Scotland.
The Schools have also been actively involved in the development of an
optional NVQ/SVQ unit on Recognising, respecting and supporting spiritual
well-being. This will be the first time that spiritual well-being (in the
broadest definition of that term)has been incorporated into a national care
qualification in the UK.
