Hi,
I have a small but significant correction to the autofs experiment
directory.
The configuration I had there would work if you were using Solaris
batch workers which supports options in the auto.master for the whole
map file. That does not work with Linux and you must specify options
for each individual map.
So
EXTRA(autofs.maps) experiment
autofs.path_experiment EXPERIMENT
autofs.options_experiment_alice -rw,intr,noquota,nosuid,noatime,
#ifdef SE_VO_ALICE
EXTRA(autofs.map_experiment) alice
autofs.path_experiment_alice SE_HOSTNAME:EXPERIMENT/alice
autofs.key_experiment_alice alice
#endif
becomes
EXTRA(autofs.maps) experiment
autofs.path_experiment EXPERIMENT
#ifdef SE_VO_ALICE
EXTRA(autofs.map_experiment) alice
autofs.path_experiment_alice SE_HOSTNAME:EXPERIMENT/alice
autofs.key_experiment_alice alice
autofs.options_experiment_alice -rw,intr,noquota,nosuid,noatime,hard
#endif
I noticed this because I wanted to add hard and it ended up not doing
anything. The problem is though if you do changed to hard which is
good any current automount in place will problably hang and a forced
reboot is the only way out.
So this is a good thing to do next time there is a kernel update or
something that requires a drain.
The notes themselves have been corrected.
