Sorry Susanne, I do not think I contradict myself. There is no best program,
I think we both do agree with that statement. However, this refers to
functionality and not to performance. And this can be a difference. Well
anyway, Thomas König of Loughborough University (UK) presented this in his
paper, and he evaluated 6 of the most popular QDA-programs.

You are right in this point. A new edition of the Weitzman/Miles book is
needed, but there are a lot of programs more on the market than at the time
the book was written/published. Such a book however requires a sponsor that
pays the time that is needed for a full and good evaluation of all (or at
least the most important) programs.
