I would suggest that before ever thinking of any of the
specific items offered for consideration, someone who is
just starting to use problem-based learning must have
articulated the outcomes s/he wants the students to be
able to demonstrate. Knowing those outcomes will
determine every other piece that goes into the structure
of the PBL experience.
