After having problems testing Figaro using the ICL scripts (it might be
easier to create csh versions!), I did a fresh checkout, ./bootstrap,
./configure -C, and make world. The first two seemed to work, although
it whinged about not having aclocal-1.8, automake-1.8, and autoconf
installed.
rlsul1.bnsc.rl.ac.uk> make world
cd applications/star2html \
&& make>make.log && make install>>make.log

I do have a buildsupport directory and it is second in my PATH, which
begins
${STARCONF_DEFAULT_STARLINK}/bin:${STARCONF_DEFAULT_STARLINK}/buildsupport/bin:
Why is it looking in my bin directory for star2html? "which star2html"
finds it in /home/classic/bin, i.e. ${STARCONF_DEFAULT_STARLINK}/bin.
INSTALL remains undefined. I still don't understand how it got restored
the other day.
