medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
"It's difficult to say what Ignatius' greatest influence on Christian life and thought was---this founding of the Society of Jesus or his creation of the Spiritual Exercises, which millions have used as a pathway to deeper religious life."
For me personally and for my husband, it's the Jesuit education we received. When I was at Loyola (New Orleans) in the early 60s, every student was required to minor in philosophy. Oh, how grateful I am for that and how sorry I am to see philosophy swept aside these days for more "relevant" material.
