BACKGROUND - http://www.blip.me.uk
blip is a forum where artists and scientists can meet, exchange ideas, get
advice, form collaborations and seed projects. It aims to explore the
relationship between scientific enquiry and artistic practice and stimulate
new critical debate about this emerging cultural hybrid.
An important aspect of our monthly meetings is the sharing of `works in
progress'.
In addition to a main speaker/ performance we encourage audience members
to show
current
projects, generally in the informal setting of the bar. This is aimed at
creating
an opportunity to discuss ideas and get feedback on ongoing projects from
other
practitioners
in the field.
At this years Big blip, we are inviting submissions from local artists for an
exhibition
in the main entrance/ cafe area of the Sallis Benney Theatre.

generative and procedural processes, interaction, emergence and artificial
life.
