Hello, this message if for those of you with an interest in Digital Rights
Expression Languages and some time to spare next week. See the forwarded
message below for more details. The attachments were rather large, so I
have stripped them off and put them into a single zip file here:

[That's a temporary directory. Let me know if you have a problem
downloading from there.]

Subject: [Odrl-interest] Call for Reviewers Input (fwd)
Dear ODRL interest group!
Attached you find a call from the Learning Technology Standards Committee
(LTSC) working group. The working group had the goal develop a recommended
practice identifying digital rights requirements for eLearning
technologies. The identified requirements have been mapped to ODRL, MPEG
REL, and OEBF by experts of the respective language.
In the final motion, the working group is looking for volunteers who are
validating these mappings.
It would be important for the ODRL initiative if this call would be
responded from members of the ODRL community. Please find details in the
call below. Please send your validation to the working group directly, to
magda mourad [log in to unmask]
For general questions and questions to the ODRL mapping you may contact me
at any time.
Thank you for your support.
Susanne Guth

Subject: [LTSC-DREL:] Call for Reviewers Input
The Digital Rights Expression Languages (DREL) working group (WG) within
the IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee has received three
documents submitted by DREL experts. Each document made use of a DREL,
e-learning use cases, and a XML expression for each use case. In addition,
the WG has produced a table for the purpose of cross-referencing the
requirements to each language use case and code sample.
We are asking for volunteers to:
1. Verify whether each use case submitted by the DREL expert’s is
compatible with WG approved e-learning requirement(s),
2. Report findings from number 1, specifically errors, omissions, or
incompatible use case(s),
3. Manually check whether each expression will function as required,
4. Report findings from number 3, specifically errors, omissions, or
DREL issues,
5. Populate the table in the designated columns with appropriate comment
s.
The WG is under a tight schedule to complete its work and asks that you
provide your findings by Friday, July 16th, 2004 to: Technical Editor,
IEEE LTSC-DREL WG, Jon Mason: [log in to unmask]
We request, at a minimum, for your findings to be considered, that you
complete number 1 and 2 above for the requirements that you have reviewed
in the attached table (Reviewer-Input Table.doc):
