I've committed my fixes to startcl. This required that I change the name
of libgwm.so in lib/startcl to libtkGwm.so. Otherwise the linker can't
work out that it is tryting to link two libgwm.so's that are different.
Not sure how many people are actually linking against startcl/libgwm but
I'm sure we'll find out. I need to make one more change for macos so that
gwmXrefresh uses awish rather than wish since the dynamic loading of the
tcl library won't work (partly because .so is hard-wired into the
tclIndex).
init. In etc/init but it needs some more work since:
1. The references to /star/share are now meaningless
2. datestamp files are used in places where they no longer exist.
Finally, I did start looking at the pisa problem again yesterday but I'm
having real trouble linking pisa_mon using the -static option. It fails to
find the symbvol msg1_gtstm even though that is in the install msg libray.
A bit confused at present but I'm hoping it was down to trying to do this
after travelling for 20 hours.
As for Mark's pgplot problem. I used libpgplot_adam because that was what
it used to be called and what was linked from the pgplot_link_adam script.
I'm happy to call it something different. Note that previously there was
no difference between libpgplot and libpgplot_adam since they both
required starlink libraries and both had gwm drivers. Now libpgplot really
is the native pgplot library as-is without any starlink breathing on.
libpgplot_adam is the one with the starlink error message system and GWM
driver. I'm happy to rename libpgplot_adam to libpgplot_star and also
allow pgplot_link to have a -star switch (I'm assuming pgplot_link_adam
would simply call pgplot_link with the -star switch). Maybe someone has
done that already. I hadn't spotted that pgplot_link_adam also included
pgppar_adam. Sorry about that.
