Just in case you notice (I hope not they shouldn't effect anything else),
I've updated and merged my patches that I've been using to build the
various libraries needed for the production of the JNIHDS and JNIAST
shareable libraries under MinGW. Using starconf this has actually
simplified things somewhat and there are now only significant changes to
HDS, PSX and CNF. See the CVS logs for what I've done.
The HDS changes should be orthogonal to Brian's HDS64 updates (having
nothing at all to do with data access), so should just merge in when that
branch is completed.
Next I'm going to look again at JNIAST and JNIHDS, and see what changes
they may benefit from under the new scheme (libtool must be the right way
to build platform shareable libraries) and hopefully come up with a
simpler way to actually get the Windows DLLs built.
BTW, I also have managed to build all the libraries under Cygwin, have
seen the GKS duck and even ran EXTRACTOR! I've not merged these changes
yet as some are controversial.
Peter.
