I've committed the change to GENERIC which allows .g<types> file
extensions. Note that if you have -t specified or GENERIC_TYPES defined
these will take precedence over the data types in the file extension.
The file extension must begin with ".g", and <types> are those allowed
by the -t option.
There were some bugs and deficiencies in the original code which delayed
it. I'm amazed that the option to create a composite file of all
the instantiations ever worked.
Please exercise the latest generic and let me know of any problems. I've
updated in the documentation in the code, but not revised SUN/7, which
needs a post-VMS overhaul too.
