Research and development work on Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Disabled
People's Issues
Working to the direction of an established LGB Disabled
People's group (Rainbow Ripples), the contractor will:
· Carry out research to find out the needs and aspirations of
LGB Disabled People in Leeds and potential methods of service
delivery including new ways of delivering services, in the context of
collating existing national research in this area. This will involve
primary and secondary research and dissemination of the findings.
· Develop training materials on issues faced by LGB disabled
people, including diversity within the LGB and disabled
people's communities, using a Social Model of Disability
context. The training materials will be aimed at a variety of
agencies, including statutory agencies for use in NVQ courses.
The contract value is £18,000. This is based on 90 days work @ £200 a
day. The work must be completed by December 2005. Payments will be
staged according to satisfactory completion of tasks. Tenders must be
returned by Monday August 2nd 2004.
