The server saturn appears to have rebooted itself sometime shortly before
1am BST, and was stuck with some disk errors which is why it had not come
back up. It appears it was having some problems with a large rsync job just
before it shutdown.
The machine is not running on mirrored disks, however the CVS repository is
well backed up. I am currently running through the scans of the disks due to
the unclean shutdown and will report back when I have further information.

Tim,
Stsve is out of the Lab (for the rest of this week) but I have just
managed
to find Duncan - he had not spotted saturn (aka cvs.starlink.ac.uk) was
down
but he is rushing off now to look at it!
