Hi
Is she tender on the bone at all - if so have you excluded a stress
reaction/fracture?

Subject: Gymnastics!
Injury:
11 yo girl getting pain just medial to the tibia, only
getting in on running and jumping. On running it
comes after a running the ramp a few times. While
jumping occurs right away.
I can only reproduce pn, on palpation. ROM and
Strength testing normal. Area of tenderness is about
halfway down tibia, and continues for about 5 cm.
Sounds like shin splints, but the area does not
relate.
Although looking for solutions, she cannot stop
gymnastics.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Nabil
