Challenging Positions for Psychologists & Social Workers

The Alcohol and Drug Foundation – Queensland invites applications for the
position of Senior Counsellor at its Logan House Drug Rehabilitation Centre
from Psychologists and Social Workers who would welcome the opportunity to
work in an innovative and developing environment.

Logan House has implemented a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Program within
the context of case management, life skills training, and reward based
therapy that has resulted in a completion rate of over 60%.

Due to the success of the program Logan House is currently turning away two
applicants for admission for every one that is accepted. As a consequence,
the Alcohol and Drug Foundation – Queensland is developing Logan House to a
96 bed facility plus family units and a detox and assessment centre.

Senior Counsellor

The Senior Counsellor Position works in tandem with the Facility Manager.
The development of the facility over the next five years warrants the
appointment of a highly motivated clinician who is able to build a clinical
team that is innovative, lateral thinking, skilled in clinical practices,
and able to provide strong role models to the clients.

Logan House is situated close to Logan Village between Brisbane and the Gold
Coast. The area is experiencing population
growth and he development of acre blocks in the near vicinity.

For further information on the Program, Philosophy, and a Position
