Only the graphical window positions (etc.) are remembered, none of the
dialog positions (etc.) are, we thought that was a plausible compromise
(there is a data model for the graphical windows but not for any of the
other dialogs, although it could be done). But perhaps the state
of the top-level dialog above all other dialogs should be remembered??
