Subject: MIGRANTS, NATIONS AND CITIZENSHIP
MIGRANTS, NATIONS AND CITIZENSHIP
5-6 July @ New Hall, Huntingdon Rd, Cambridge
How many immigrants should countries admit and according to what criteria
should they be selected?
What are the economic, legal and political entitlements owed to migrants?
To what extent does immigration challenge concepts of citizenship and
national identity?
These issues engage scholars across a wide range of disciplines in the
social sciences and humanities. This major conference will bring together
and promote debate among economists, legal scholars, political scientists,
historians and policy makers.
Speakers include Seyla Benhabib (Yale), David Miller (Oxford), Pnina
Werbner (Keele), Jo Show (Manchester School of Law)
