Dear subscribers to the European-sociologist e-mail list,
Occasionally, the european-sociologist e-mail list receives messages from commercial publishers announcing new books. Robert Miller has suggested that such messages should not be allowed on the list. I have created a 'survey' at the jiscmail-listserv to hear your opinion in this matter. You have just received a message from the listserv with a link to the website where you can give your opinion. The 'survey' contains only one question: whether or not commercial book announcements should be banned. The results of the survey will determine the policy towards such messages.
The survey is located at:

When I was moderator of this list it was ESA practice to discourage
publishers from using this list to distribute their ads. Perhaps the
current list moderator might want to reinstate this policy.
