applicants for at least one adjunct, part-time Instructor/Lecturer position
for the 2004-05 academic year. The position is contingent upon available
funding. We are seeking someone who can provide quality undergraduate
teaching in economic geography, population geography, regional development,
and spatial analysis, and possibly other courses consistent with
departmental needs and the appointee's expertise. Ability to teach a
graduate course in spatial analysis is a plus. The successful candidate
will be responsible for teaching two courses in the fall semester,
commencing August 23rd, with the possibility
of teaching up to two courses in the spring semester. Payment is $6,000 per
course.
The Department may convert this position to benefits-eligible, should the
appointee's expertise match teaching needs for the spring 2005 semester.
The Department is seeking an individual who is able to work with diverse
students or colleagues, and who has experience with a variety of teaching
methods and curricular perspectives. Minimum qualifications include an ABD
in Geography or related field (Ph.D.
preferred) and demonstrated experience and excellence in university
