CALL for PAPERS
"Education in Russia and Eastern Europe in the context of the Bologna Process"
Conference to be held on November 20 2004, University College London
The STUDY GROUP ON EDUCATION IN RUSSIA, THE INDEPENDENT STATES AND EASTERN EUROPE (affiliated to
the School of Slavonic and East European Studies) invites presentations to be given at its 21st
Annual Conference. The conference will be held on Saturday 20th November 2004 (09.15-17.30hrs) at
the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University College London
This is a regular event for researchers in the area to exchange their ideas as well as report
findings of their research. We encourage young researchers, postgraduate students and practitioners
to present their papers and proposals for discussion during the day.
Papers are welcome (but not limited to) in the following areas:
- Harmonization of education: The Bologna Process and its implications for the education
systems of this region
- Fifteen years on from the fall of Berlin Wall - Evaluating the transition away from
communist education systems
Applications Deadline
Submission of abstracts of 150-200 words, in English, should be received no later than June 11,
2004. Authors of proposals that are accepted will be notified shortly afterwards.
