REMINDER
The second one-day workshop for 2004 run by the Research Centre for The
Holocaust and Twentieth-Century History, Department of German, Royal
Holloway, University of London and The Wiener Library takes place on Friday
21st May.
The topic is:
Holocaust Film: Recent Work.
The speakers are
* Barry Langford, Popularising the Holocaust: Recent US Film
and Television
* Stuart Taberner, On The Holocaust in Recent German Film
* Yosefa Loshitzky, Forbidden Laughter? The Politics and
Ethics of the Holocaust Film Comedy
The workshop is open to undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and
others. The idea of the 'workshop' format is to explore debates arising from
specific issues in Holocaust Studies in an informal atmosphere. There will
be three papers, plenty of time for conversation and a final 'open' panel
The workshop will begin at 9.30 for 10, and finish no later than 4.30 pm.
