Position Open:
Program Coordinator
CEC ARTSLINK is an international arts service organization, whose programs
encourage and support exchange among visual and performing artists and
cultural managers in the United States and in Central Europe, Russia and
Eurasia. With expertise and partnerships in 27 countries, CEC ArtsLink
promotes communication and understanding through collaborative, innovative
projects for mutual benefit.
CEC ArtsLink currently has 2 Program Directors and 4-5 additional full-time
program staff. Program staff works in teams to design and carry out annual
program activity and one-time projects. Program Coordinators have day-to-day
responsibility for program activities and report to one of the Program
Directors. About 75% of this position is related to the ArtsLink Awards
program and the balance to other programs and projects.
Responsibilities:
Maintain relationships with partner organizations, funders, grantees and
prospective applicants
Facilitate grant selection process: work on panel planning and logistics,
preparation and database entry of applications, review artists' work
samples, prepare panel books
Maintain database used for tracking applications, generating reports and
mailing lists
Update content on website
Assist participants with travel and visa arrangements and plan sessions with
Eastern and Central European artists and arts managers
Respond to inquiries from potential participants, advise applicants and
grantees
Process award payment requests, review grantee final reports
Work with Program Director in program presentation, design and outreach;
assist with grant proposals and budget preparation
Track program expenses and communicate with bookkeeper on financial issues
Supervise interns
Qualifications:
Background in contemporary performing or visual arts
Interest in Central Europe, Russia and Eurasia
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage details
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Sensitivity to the needs of working individual artists; sensitivity to
cross-cultural communication
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Knowledge of a Central European language helpful
