Hello. I know that janice Lloyd a PhD student at massey did research on the
matching process of guide dogs with their owners in New Zealand. I am not
sure how to contact Janice these days, but you may find a contact for her if
you look at www.massey.ac.nz and look for PhD students' work.If you have
trouble locating her email me off list and I may be able to find her contact
details for you.
Good luck to your student. Its a fascinating topic.
Judy

Subject: request for information on gude dogs
> Dear colleagues
> Does anyone else give me information on study about guide dogs for the
blind ?
> My student started to write graduation thesis regarding users of guide
dog. She will focus on that how the users consider their guide dogs. For
instance, the users think that the dogs are a part of themselves, or on the
other hand they are outside themselves. Also, she is interested in that
difference of feeling about other support dogs like hearing dog. Psycho
social researches will be appreciated. Specially, I would like materials
accessible on the internet.
