The IFIP World Computer Congress, WCC-2004, will be held
in Toulouse, France in August 2004. It comprises nine co-
located conferences on a wide range of topics, one of which is
AIAI-2004 (Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations).
AIAI-2004 will comprise four days (August 23rd-26th) of
refereed papers, running alongside a four-day 'Symposium on
Professional Practice in Artificial Intelligence'. This will be one of
the most genuinely international AI events in the world this year
with speakers from Algeria, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria,
Canada, Chile, China, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico,
The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia and Montenegro,
Slovak Republic, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia,
Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the USA and West Indies. The draft

Up to 60 Student Fellowships of 500 Euros each are available
to support attendance at this event.
Applicants need to send in a 500-word statement by email by
