The Tick's mouthpiece is barbed therefore the rotary movement is supposed to
help. I don't think it has to be anticlockwise.
Most information sheets simply suggest pulling slowly and steadly with fine
forceps applied close to the skin. Tick removers can be purchased. The idea
is not the grab the body as that may make the tick regurgitate it's stomach
contents back into the "Tourist"... well that's the theory anyway.
I do rotate as pulling and it does seem to work.
