I can chime in on the Euro3D stuff, since I have been in sporadic contact with
one of the developers over the past few months. I downloaded his software and
had a bit of a go with it. First impressions were that the software was at a
pre-alpha level. I wasn't able to get much out of it with either a UIST cube or
some of the supplied example files. It may be the case that somehow the
compilation process went wrong, I had an older version of the software, or I
wasn't converting to FITS properly. I didn't contact the developer after
compiling it because I had more important things to work on and couldn't spend
another couple of days trying to work out bugs. I'm currently under the
impression that DATACUBE is more useful than E3D.
And just for Al's reference for when/if he takes a look at their software, I was
using PGPLOT v5.2, IO libraries v1.0c, and E3D v1.2.
Cheers,
Brad.
