My question was related to any *future* changes - will they only be
distributable in new style? I presume from the above that the answer is
yes. I seem to be churning out revisions pretty frequently at the
moment so I might look into keeping the traditional makefile up-to-date
locally (at least for a while), so I can take a new-style distribution and
create an old-style distribution from it. That would give me a warm cozy
glow of safety...
