I'm having a quick look at IDI with regards to CVS.
1. I've committed all the VMS code to CVS but is it okay if I simply
remove them from the live tree from now on (this is all the .for files and
the build scripts)
2. The error codes are trying to be messgen compliant but they've
diverged horribly. The C include file has dropped the IDI__ prefix from
the error codes (presumably from laziness). It also defines a non-standard
code if IDI__OK (which would require a tweak after messgen processing.
Additionally, IDI seems to be carrying around it's own version of the EMS
get facility error routine (it installs idi_err.htxt into etc/ and then
parses that rather than the facility file!!!) Any objections if I add a
dependency on EMS [the dependency is there already if I do an idi_link -
it's just not explicit] and simply do the facility lookup instead?
