Announcement and Call for Papers
Social Research Association Annual Conference 2004
Improving the IMPACT of Social Research
Wednesday 1 December 2004, London
The Social Research Association was founded in 1978 to advance the conduct,
development and application of social research. This year's Annual
Conference provides a timely opportunity for social researchers to debate
how to improve the impact made by social research, through its organisation,
practice and presentation. The Social Research Association now welcomes
abstracts (200-400 words) from researchers and practitioners that address
one of the following conference themes:
* Commissioning Research that Counts: Towards Best Practice
* Conducting Social Research that Makes a Difference
* The Politics of Social Research
* Action Research in Action
* Involving the 'User' or 'Subject' in Social Research
* All Together Now? Partnership-working in Social Research
* On the Shelf? Dissemination of Social Research
* Evidence-informed policy: improving the use of research in policy-making
* Researcher, Study Thyself! Measuring the Impact of Social Research
We are looking for papers for both plenary sessions (20-30 minutes) and
workshop sessions (40-60 minutes).
To have your paper considered for the annual conference, please send an
attachment with your name, affiliation, mail and e-mail address, paper title
