Greeting Nell,
good to hear from you.
Answering in order, I don't think there are any requirements for
membership, other than interest.
I certainly joined to keep up with the latest ideas and also to engage in
discussion if I felt I could contribute, as for the chat, as we've seen,
some people find it an endearing part of the list, others find it an
irritant (in which case, a veryquick scan confirms the need for the delete
button). For myself, if its chat that I'm not involved in or interested in,
I delete, if I am interested, I contribute, but as we've just seen, chat
often leads to serious points of relevance to counselling matters.
The members decide how active they wish to be. Some 'lurk' some contribute
regularly, some contribute occasionally. The recent discussion has
highlighted how everyone's input is valued and how everyone has something to
say and share.
Hope that answers the questions, and hope you don't leave.
Regards
Carl
