italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Starting from Monday, March 29th, it will be possible to send applications
for participation to the 2004 session of Synapsis, the European school for
comparative literature sponsored jointly by the Universities of Bologna and
Siena. As every year, the activities will take the form of a week long
residential course, that will be held in the Certosa of Pontignano (Siena)
from Saturday, September 4th to Saturday 11st. This year's topic is
"Windows". Lectures and seminars will be held by: Bruno Basile, Gillian
Beer, Omar Calabrese, Laura Caretti, Gioachino Chiarini, Antonio Costa,
Massimo Fusillo, José Gonzalez Garcia, Philippe Hamon, Michael Jakob,
Patrizia Lombardo, Antonio Prete, Jürgen Wertheimer, Michael Wood.
Deadline for applications: May 10th.
