The Canadian Coordinating Office for Health Technology Assessment (CCOHTA)
is a national non-profit health research organization funded by the
federal, provincial and territorial governments. We provide evidence-based
information on the clinical and cost effectiveness of pharmaceuticals,
medical devices and medical systems with our target audience being
decision makers and health care administrators. In September 2002,
Canada’s Health Ministers also charged CCOHTA with responsibility for a
new national Common Drug Review (CDR) program.
CCOHTA is entering an exciting period of growth and we are seeking highly
qualified team players with the drive to excel and the desire to play a
key role in successfully launching new initiatives.
We currently have openings in the following areas:
Clinical Reviewers - Common Drug Review (CDR): We are seeking Clinical
Reviewers who will support and/or undertake clinical reviews of drug
submissions, develop and monitor work plans for drug submissions,
coordinate the external reviews of drug submissions, ensure quality of
reviews, and provide support to the Canadian Expert Drug Advisory
Committee (CEDAC).
Economist - Health Technology Assessment (HTA): We are looking for
Economists with strong skills in performing economic evaluations, economic
modeling, critical appraisal of evidence, project management and report
writing.
Analyst, Common Drug Review (CDR): The Analyst has a background in
developing and maintaining policies and procedures, providing analytical
and communications support as well as establishing and maintaining an
evaluation process to support CCOHTA’s CDR program.
