Research Skills Course - CPD Centre University of Oxford
10 - 13 & 17 - 20 May 2004
The aim of this series of one-day courses, organised in association with
Oxford Research Development Support Consortium, is to introduce students to
the different methodologies commonly used in health care research. The
course provides a general introduction to health care research with
different days focusing on different aspects.
10 May 2004 - Descriptive Studies
11 May 2004 - Randomised Controlled Trials
12 May 2004 - Cohort Studies
13 May 2004 - Case Control Studies
17 May 2004 - Health Economics
18 May 2004 - Systematic Reviews
19 May 2004 - Qualitative Research Methods
20 May 2004 - Ethics and Research Governance
It is anticipated that people attending will be health professionals who
are exploring different research methodologies, prior knowledge of the
different methodologies is not assumed however the course content will be
aimed at graduate level.
Students may select individual days or alternatively attend the full 8 days
with the possibility of accreditation. Fees for the course are £200 per
day.
