Hello
I've been asked to search the Opinions of what I believe is now called the
'Nomenclature Committee' but was I also believe has been called 'The
Committee for Common Customs Tariff Nomenclature' and also the 'Customs
Tariff and Statistical Nomenclature Committee of the European Commission'.
Although I can find references to these Committees in ECJ cases, OJC notices
and some general info on Customs on Scadplus/other websites I cannot find
where these 'Opinions' or 'Minutes' are published. From what I can gather
this Committee is made up of Customs representatives of Member states and
they can administer a definitive answer regarding how items should be
classified within the Tariff and discuss possible differences in how member
states have classified good when giving out 'Binding Tariff Information
decisions'. It may be that they only meet once a year.
If anyone has a clue where I can find this information I would be most
grateful for your help on this
kind regards
Jessica Sambrook
