My first reaction on reading Keith Armstrong's response was a flashback
to the old Soviet-style method of seeing dissent as psychological
illness. After all, the Soviet-era line was: How could anyone in their
right mind NOT see communism as The Good?
Armstrong's comment seems to me to be merely a variation on that view
and thus tending to support Tremain's comment.
